Jurassic World Dominion, the third movie in the Jurassic World trilogy starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, is heading our way this summer. And while it will be the end of a trilogy, it very likely won’t be the end of the franchise, if that’s a thing worrying you.
In an interview with /Film, Jurassic World executive producer Frank Marshall shared that Dominion may just be the beginning—if you can call the sixth movie in a franchise the beginning of anything.
“I think that Dominion‘s going to wrap up this trilogy, but we’re not resting on our laurels,” Marshall told /Film. “We’re going to sit down, and we’re going to see what the future is. We have that wonderful series, Camp Cretaceous, on Netflix. We obviously want to make quality, good movies with great storytelling, great writers and directors, but we’re definitely looking to do more in the Jurassic world.”
We still have Dominion to get through before we likely find out about future Jurassic projects. That upcoming movie, directed by Colin Trevorrow, is also bringing back the beloved trio from the first Jurassic Park movie—Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and national treasure, Jeff Goldblum.
Jurassic World Dominion premieres in theaters on June 10, 2022. If you need something to tide you over until then, you can check out this five-minute short that includes a hairy T-Rex from 65 million years ago and a present-day drive-in movie theater getting an unexpected visit from a non-hairy T-Rex who’s already been through quite a lot in the first two Jurassic World films.
